• 6 weekends beginning end of Jan 2021 and ending June 2021.
• 3 weekends lectured by Carla Shehfe and 3 weekends lectured by Nadine Bitar.

• Exam Date: 19th June 2021 – Case study is due and oral exam will take place on this date 

Examined work will consist of:

• One 2000 word essay
• One 5000 word case study
• One oral 30 min exam
• Homework consists of typing up a personal journal of 500 words for a problem worked on. Two problems will be required each weekend. There will on certain weekends be extra small homework assignments to be completed.
• 2 hour mandatory group meetings between students, to take place between each weekend workshop; these are designed to help review and discuss issues that have come up. Guided questions will be given to help kick start the process.

ONLINE

• Workshop 1 consists of 3 days and is online for 3 consecutive Saturdays:
  
• Day 1: Saturday 10th April 10am to 5.30pm
• Day 2: Saturday 17th April 10am to 5.30pm
• Day 3: Saturday 24th April 10am to 5.30pm

• In these 3 days, you will be introduced to ST and to working with complex presentations. The workshop will examine in detail both the Schema and Mode models in ST and the different techniques that can be used with each. Role play and experiential practice are provided. This workshop will equally review some of the research in the area of ST and will finish with a focus on the various types of questionnaires that are commonly used.  

• Workshop 2 consists of 3 days and is online for 3 consecutive Saturdays:
• Day 1: Saturday 5th June, 10am to 5.30pm
• Day 2: Saturday 19th June, 10am to 5.30pm
• Day 3: Saturday 26th June,  10am to 5.30pm

• This 2nd workshop will specifically look at the ST protocol for treating both BPD and NPD. Skills will be refined and students will be able to practice imagery and chairwork excercises.

• Workshop 3 consists of 3 days and is online for 3 consecutive Saturdays:
• Day 1: Saturday 25th September, 10am to 5.30pm
• Day 2: Saturday 2nd October, 10am to 5.30pm
• Day 3: Saturday 9th October, 10am to 5.30pm

• Students will review NPD and learn about their own triggers when working with personality disorders. There will be an introduction to ST in Couple’s work, which will further solidify student learnings and skills. A look at the various modes added over the years, as well as a mode conceptualisation of each DSM 5 personality disorder. The workshop will end with a review of what is needed for accreditation.
