• Workshop 1 consists of 4 days and is online for 4 consecutive Saturdays: 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th SEP 2024.
  
• Time:  10.00 am to 6pm
• In these 4 days, you will be introduced to ST and it’s role in  complex presentations.
• The workshop will examine in detail both the Schema and Mode Models in ST.
• You will be introduced to the ST Case Conceptualisation, as well as interview techniques and the most commonly used inventories.
• You will go over Cognitive Techniques, Therapeutic Alliance, Empathic Confrontation and Emotive Techniques.
• A whole day will be devoted to the use of Imagery and an introduction into Role play exercises using chairs.
• 11 hours of Didactic work and 9 hours of Dyadic role plays. 
• You can stop at workshop 1 or continue to do workshop 2 & 3. 
• Certification is only possible for those who complete all 3 workshops, who pass their rated videos/tapes final exam and who complete required supervision (Timeframe is 2 to 3 years).

• Workshop 2 consists of 2 consecutive Saturdays online: 2nd & 9th NOV.
• Starts at 10am and finishes at 6pm.

• This 2nd workshop will specifically look at the ST protocol for treating both BPD and NPD.
• Skills will be refined and students will be able to practice imagery and chairwork excercises.
• Videos and role plays.

• Workshop 3 is online for 2 consecutive Saturdays: 23rd & 30th NOV.
• Starts at 10am and finishes at 6pm.
• See terms under ‘Schema Therapy’ tab in Menu.
• Students will review all Cluster C Disorders with mode conceptualisations of each DSM 5 personality disorder and how to treat them.
• There will be videos and role plays.
• The workshop will end with a review of what is needed for accreditation.

Depression is a mood disorder and one of the most prevalent disorders that people seek help for.

It is a serious disorder that affects the way you feel, the way you think and how you act.

Day 1

An overview of the different types of depressions, possible triggers and different medications used to treat these.

Day 2

A look at the underlying beliefs in depression.

Treatment methods using REBT/CBT.

The bodily sensations that accompany a panic attack are so unpleasant that many may find themselves rushing to the ER with the belief that they are in real danger of dying. If that wasn’t bad enough, some people go on to anticipate future panic attacks, which then becomes the problem.

Day 1

Learn about anxiety, panic attacks and panic disorder.

Learn about Agorophobia. 

A look at the beliefs underpinning each of the above.

Day 2

CBT/REBT treatment protocol for Panic Disorder.

Work on a Case Study.  

Day 1

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. What is it?

What are the different ways in which it manifests?

What might be some causes of OCD.

Day 2 

You will learn to recognize and treat OCD from an REBT perspective.

Learn behavioural techniques.

Learn relaxation techniques. 

Apply what you learnt to a case study. 

Day 1

In this workshop, you will take an in-depth look and the 3 most common types of eating disorders: Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating. Eating disorders are notoriously complex and complicated.

 You will be introduced to various REBT irrational beliefs involved in each of them and an overview of the latest generally agreed ways to treat these.

Day 2

Finish off treatment plans for Bulimia and Binge Eating.

Work on a Case Study.

• 6 weekend workshops, held once a month on a Sat and Sun.
• Workshops start at 9.30am and finish at 5.30pm.
• Essay, 2000 words, to be handed in on Wk6.
• Case study, 5000 words, to be handed in one month after Wk 6.
• Oral exam, one month after Wk 6.
