Carla is an Advanced Certiﬁed Schema therapist and supervisor. She is the founder and general manager of CPD-PSYCH.
She qualiﬁed in psychology at McGill University, Montreal, Canada before embarking on a career in the business sector. She has an MBA from the EU Business School, graduating from its Munich campus and has a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law, Store Street, London, UK.
In 1999, she went back into psychology and has an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis, an MSc in Rational-Emotive and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies from Goldsmiths, University of London under the tutelage of Prof. Windy Dryden, an Advanced International Certiﬁcation in Schema Therapy under the tutelage of Wendy Behary & Jeffrey Young, and an NCFED Practitioner Diploma in Eating Disorders under the tutelage of Deanne Jade.
Carla worked in the UK for 11 years, in private practice, Harley Street, and for 4 years at the Priory Hospital, Roehampton, before moving to Beirut in 2011, where she was the Head of Psychotherapy at Bellevue Medical Center, a general teaching hospital, until 2019. She now works in private practice from her clinic in Horsh Tabet, Sin El Fil, part of the Therapy Circle group. She sees adolescents, adults and couples for a wide variety of issues.
Carla taught for 5 years at the College of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, where she is still a guest lecturer and was hired for 2 years by Goldsmiths, University of London, to supervise students undergoing REBT training as part of their Diploma in CBT. More recently she participated in Embrace Line, Lebanon’s ﬁrst suicide prevention hotline, as a designated trainer.
Carla has lived in the UK, Canada, Germany, Belgium, France and Lebanon and has close ties to the USA, Trinidad & Tobago, Monte Carlo and Cyprus.
