Students + General Public

Prerequisite.

Introduction to CBT is essential to anyone wishing to build strong foundations in understanding themselves and being there for others. The workshop includes lunch and 2 coffee/tea breaks with snacks. The workshop is a mixture of theory, open discussions and packed full of practical exercises designed to reinforce learning. The workshop is in English.

Students + General Public.

Active Listening & Socratic Questioning is an essential skill for all students in psychology. It is also a very good skill to have as a doctor or  health / mental health professional working in the medical field. It equally benefits professionals who work with the public, e.g. police, crisis hotlines, etc... An invaluable skill to have in your private life: spouse, kids, other family members and co-workers, as most of us have no idea how to truly listen to one another. Learning to really listen and what questions to ask, helps people to connect and thus reduce stressful clashes. The workshop includes lunch and 2 coffee/tea breaks with snacks. All workshops are a mixture of theory, open discussions and packed full of practical exercises designed to reinforce learning. All workshops are in English.

Students + General Public.

The Internal Balance & Wellbeing series is written to help all individuals, psychology student or not, to learn about their internal world and how to manage it. It offers essential components in Emotional Intelligence. Everything you learn here is applicable to your life and to any career you engage in, especially in medical and mental health professions. Workshops include lunch and 2 coffee/tea breaks with snacks. All workshops are a mixture of theory, open discussions and packed full of practical exercises designed to reinforce learning. All workshops are in English. All workshops in this series are built in a sequential manner and your understanding will benefit from sticking to the sequence.

Students & Trauma Workers &/or Survivors

Introduction to Trauma is a more advanced and specialized workshop. It caters to students in psychology and to those who themselves have suffered severe trauma &/or deal through their work with severe trauma, and wish to better understand PTSD and Complex PTSD. A must for anybody working in therapy or coaching, to help understand the different ways in which trauma can be healed and when and who to refer to. The workshop includes lunch and 2 coffee/tea breaks with snacks. This workshop has quite a lot of necessary theory to it and less practical exercises than other workshops. Nevertheless, it still offers open discussions and practical exercises designed to reinforce learning. All workshops are in English.

Graduate students only or those in the last year of a Masters

You will need to be finishing or have a Masters in psychology to be able to participate in these workshops. Please refer within the Menu tab to the segment on Schema Therapy for more information. Kindly Note: this Certification Program does not in itself confer you the right to practice as a psychotherapist. Only the legal requirements your country of residence sets out may allow you to do so. The Certification Program, provided ALL requirements are fulfilled, may allow you to register with the International Schema Therapy guiding body and become a recognized Schema Therapist. As a graduate student you may wish to purely participate in various Schema Therapy workshops without taking things further. This is absolutely possible. However, unless ALL requirements are fulfilled, you will not be eligible to become or be called a Schema Therapist.
